"My goal is to help you achieve optimum health and wellness."

—Dr. Marie E. Delangre, LAc, D.AOM

Marie Delangre is a licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Medical Massage Therapist. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Hawaii, and also attended Hawaii Medical School of Acupressure & Massage Therapy.

Since she was very young, she was blessed to have a family that is very active in alternative medicine and holistic nutrition. They used to own a vegetarian restaurant, and her mother was a natural healer. Her oldest sister became a Chiropractor and her other sister is an acupuncturist as well. She says that alternative medicine runs in her blood.

Marie has successfully performed acupuncture treatments since opening her first practice in Kirkland, Washington, and most recently in Atlanta, Georgia. She has found that most imbalances in her patients' health are directly related to an imbalance in their digestive system and high levels of stress. Patients who report symptoms such as insomnia, depression, anxiety, fatigue, seasonal allergies, frequent illness, headaches, and painful periods have seen improvements in their overall health and well-being with simple dietary modifications that relate to the principles of Chinese medicine, holistic nutrition and acupuncture therapy.

Marie also performs Tui Na, which means "pushing grasping." It is a powerful form of Chinese medical bodywork that is based on the same Oriental medical principles as acupuncture. Tui na seeks to improve the flow of qi through the meridian channels, and is particularly effective for conditions involving muscles, tendons and joints, such as structural misalignment, orthopedic problems and sports injuries. It can also be used to treat internal diseases.

In her free time, Marie loves to go for long walks, meditate and read books about Chinese medicine and holistic nutrition. She also loves movies, especially romance or comedies because she thinks laughing is a great remedy! She also enjoys cooking healthy, organic foods.
