Savannah Young is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. She brings enthusiasm and compassion to every patient encounter and has a true passion for integrative medicine. She found her way to functional medicine after difficulty finding a diagnosis to her GI symptoms through the conventional medical system in her early twenties. She was exhausted, in pain, and felt that she was out of options prior to turning to alternative methods to healing. She experienced the true power integrative and root cause medicine can provide on the body, mind, and spirit. She not only restored her health but changed her entire lifestyle from the way she eats to how she moves and how she shows up with intention to things in her life. She saw firsthand the importance of finding a provider that is invested in finding answers, as well as providing tools to heal. Ever since, she has felt a desire to bring the same passion, relief, and healing to others. She is passionate about cultivating relationships with patients and uses collaboration and individuality to find a treatment plan that addresses health from the inside out. She empowers patients and plays an active participant not only as a provider but also as a teammate and cheerleader to support patients as they reach their health and wellness goals.
Prior to joining CentreSpring MD, she graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and obtained experience in the Neonatal ICU. There, she saw how the social determinants of health impacted patient outcomes, and learned the importance of working with a multidisciplinary team in order to provide comprehensive care to patients. She saw how families and relationships played a role in mental and behavioral health and saw how critical addressing the entire person rather than symptoms played in patient outcomes.
She returned to Emory University for her Masters of Science in Nursing with the intent of practicing integrative medicine upon graduation. She graduated summa cum laude and is a part of the Sigma Theta Tau honor society. Savannah is BLS, NRP, and yoga teacher certified, and maintains her RN and FNP certifications. She is currently working on her certification through the institute of functional medicine, and enjoys Ironman Triathlon, teaching at Highland Yoga, and spending time outdoors. She believes in the power of visualization, service to the community, and believes each person has the power to create a life they love. She looks forward to meeting you!
