Last year at this time I was in India in a six week Ayurvedic program with Dr. Vasant Lad.
I’ve been reflecting upon how fortunate I was to witness ayurvedic medicine being given to villagers and local people and see within a short period of time how they improved upon the conditions they came in for. In this photo I was putting nasal drops into one of the women’s nose at the farmhouse clinic. One thing was true for everyone who came in whether young or old was the light that shined in their eyes with gratitude for even seeing a doctor and receiving medicinal herbs. It reminded me of how fortunate I was to have the best of both worlds here in america.. regular medicine when needed and alternative. In the current practice I am in the blend of both western and eastern medicine is beautiful and the results patients are getting is joyful to see.. How fortunate we all are.. think about it!
Don’t let the consumption of things, foods, alcohol and the like take away form the essence of this season of light. Although the days are shorter and the nights are longer,
Light is always there just turn to it and you will see it.
warm regards,
Gedalia
