Erica Stephen is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. She has a vast array of experience in providing patient care across the lifespan, from neonates to geriatrics, in both rural and urban areas. Her passion for integrative medicine ignited after countless interactions with patients and families who felt defeated by the traditional healthcare system. Medicine is not a “one size fits all” mentality. Patients deserve our time and effort to maximize their health goals and wellness journey.
Before joining CentreSpringMD, Erica received her first nursing degree from the University of North Georgia and began her career working in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at South Georgia Medical Center. She furthered her education at Columbus State University and graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She grew further in her career by working in the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
After several years of working with the adult and geriatric populations, Erica transitioned to pediatrics and worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit as a Certified Pediatric Nurse at the Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. She also provided off-unit care for pediatric oncology patients undergoing anesthesia at Emory Hospital. She returned to Columbus State University to pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, where she graduated magna cum laude.
Erica maintains her certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, and Certified Pediatric Nurse. She is qualified to deliver Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. She is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is currently working on her certification through the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Erica is a proud new mom, and she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and two dogs. She loves trying new things, music, hiking, traveling, and being physically active. She brings positive energy to CentreSpringMD and is full of enthusiasm and compassion for her team and patients.
