Dr. Acharya is a board-certified pediatrician who joined CentreSpring MD in 2023 after spending 3 years practicing pediatric medicine in Nashville, Tennessee.
She is originally from Tampa and completed her medical education at the University of Miami. She completed pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She went on to serve as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Vanderbilt where she worked in pediatric urgent care clinics and educated rotating medical students. She then worked as a primary care pediatrician before moving to Atlanta to join CentreSpringMD.
Dr. Acharya’s passion for functional medicine began a decade ago when her mother was diagnosed with a chronic illness that conventional medicine was unable to manage. She watched as her mother tirelessly searched for a cure, ultimately finding healing and remission through an integrative approach utilizing the best of both functional and conventional medicine. Dr. A continued to study integrative medicine during and after residency and believes deeply that the body is naturally wired for health. She believes that each patient needs a tailored approach to their health, and she combines western medicine with nutrition, lifestyle modifications, and supplementation. Dr. A’s interests include mold toxicity, autism, ADHD, and gut health. She has completed additional courses and training in mold exposure, PANS/PANDAS, and gut health.
In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, running, reading, and exploring restaurants in the area.
