Sonia Amin Thomas joined CentreSpringMD in 2025 and is a certified integrative nutrition health coach who received training through the Integrative Institution of Nutrition (IIN) and functional medicine training from the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM). She also has multiple certifications in integrative oncology, doctorate in pharmacy, board certified oncology pharmacist, pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine. Sonia is also a practicing oncology pharmacist and full professor at a pharmacy school and has a passion for education for students, practitioners and patients. Sonia has been a health coach for over 5 years now where she first started with her own company and has been working with lifestyle changes, cancer prevention and working with patient to live a healthy lifestyle. She believes being proactive is key in medicine.
It was during the pandemic that her role expanded and she discovered how to incorporate her personal lifelong health/fitness/nutrition passion into becoming an integrative nutrition health coach and obtaining certifications to further her education. She serves a leadership role in academia, presents at mulitple conferenes within pharmacy, oncology and lifestyle prevention. She also has numerous publications, research and book chapters she has worked on. Sonia absolutely loves combining her passions of health, education, oncology, pharmacy and preventive medicine.
For over a decade now, Sonia has lived in Brookhaven, GA and is married to her college sweetheart from the good ole’ University of Georgia! They live in their dream home that they designed together with their two beautiful daughters! Her passions include fitness, food, fashion, travel, design and reading. Sonia is on a mission to help all patients understand the importance of balance and moderation and achieve a personalized prescription for healthy living!
